GMA Network’s Legal Wives is the most watched primetime drama series in the Philippines since it premiered on July 26. The epic cultural drama stars Dennis Trillo (The One That Got Away, I Can See You) as Ismael, an upright Muslim man who marries three different women for different reasons. Playing his three wives are Alice Dixson (A Place In Your Heart), Andrea Torres (The Better Woman, Bow of Justice) and Bianca Umali (Sahaya, Heart and Soul) as Farrah. The series has an average rating of 12.1% based on Nielsen Philippines TAM NUTAM People Ratings and continues to draw positive feedback from viewers.
Alice Dixson
Ismael is from an affluent Muslim family who falls for Diane, who is Catholic. He keeps his relationship with Diane a secret from his family because of their religious differences. In an unexpected turn of events, Ismael gets involved in a clan feud which leads to his decision to marry his brother’s widow, Amirah. Heartbroken, Diane runs away, but Ismael follows her to prove how much he really loves her.

Soon, Diane agrees to become Ismael’s second wife, acknowledging that he only married Amirah out of obligation to his family. Just when Ismael and Diane are starting to build a life together, another problem arises. Ismael’s friend who he is greatly indebted to, seeks his help in saving his family’s reputation. He begs Ismael to marry his daughter, Farrah who is involved in a scandal.
