GMA’s mini-series Love On Air premiered last November 29, 2021 on the Network’s afternoon block. Catch up episodes are also streaming on the iQIYI Philippines app and the GMA Network app. It is top-billed by real-life couple Gabbi Garcia (Beautiful Justice, Encantadia, Family Jewels) and Khalil Ramos. It is the third story featured under GMA’s top rating anthology Stories From The Heart. Based on data from Nielsen Philippines NUTAM, the series earned a 5. 1% rating on its pilot episode and is consistently on the top 10 most-watched programs in the Philippines. The pilot episode landed on the top 5 trending list on Twitter Philippines.
DJ Jojo (Khalil Ramos) is cynical about love after he was dumped by his girlfriend. This leads to a drop in the ratings of his love advice radio program. Miss Wonderful (Gabbi Garcia), an avid listener, becomes a constant caller on the program who challenges DJ Jojo’s views on love. Somehow, the show gets exciting when they bicker on air. Off the air, DJ Jojo is Joseph, a regular guy who meets Wanda, a street-smart online seller. They make an instant connection because of their similar experience of becoming brokenhearted.
To help the show’s rating, the station manager decides to hire Miss Wonderful as DJ Jojo’s co-host. To DJ Jojo’s surprise, Miss Wonderful and Wanda are one and the same person. To make things worse, they need to pretend they are lovers in order to boost the show’s ratings.
