GMA Network premiered its latest afternoon drama, Article 247 last March 7, 2021. The series is top-billed by Rhian Ramos (Love of My Life, The One That Got Away), Kris Bernal (Impostora, Little Mommy), Benjamin Alves (Owe My Love, For Love or Money) and Mark Herras (The Silent Thief, Ysabel). It earned an average rating of 11.4% during its pilot week and consistently ranks as the second most viewed afternoon drama in the Philippines based on data from Nielsen Philippines. The series portrays a woman’s journey as she tries to move on from the consequences of her past entanglement with her boss and his wife.

Jane (Rhian Ramos) discovers that Alfred’s psychopathic wife, Klaire (Kris Bernal), is cheating on him. Jane comforts Alfred, and in the process, they become intimate. Klaire catches them in the act and attempts to murder them. Jane survives the attack but Alfred dies. Klaire is tried for Alfred’s death. Her defense is that her crime was a crime of passion. She is found guilty and is sentenced to banishment and disappears.

In the meantime, Jane moves to the province where she falls in love with Noah (Benjamin Alves). However, her traumatic past comes back to haunt her when she meets Carmen, Noah’s sister-in-law who looks exactly like Klaire. Although Carmen denies that she is in fact Klaire, Jane is determined to uncover the truth. As she investigates, Jane stumbles upon shocking discoveries about Carmen, and what really happened on the night Alfred was murdered.
