GMA’s mystery miniseries, Love You Stranger premiered last June 6, 2022. It is top-billed by Gabbi Garcia (Beautiful Justice, Encantadia, Family Jewels) and Khalil Ramos (Stories From the Heart: Love On Air). Mystery and romance merge with folklore as it tells the story of a young director and a film designer who will unravel the mystery surrounding the legend of a shadow creature. Based on Nielsen Philippines NUTAM data, the series earned a 6.5% rating on its pilot episode and is among the top 5 most-watched programs in the Philippines.

LJ, a film production designer, grew up caring for her reclusive mother, Lorraine. Lorraine has an unexplained fear of shadows, which stems from a folklore shadow figure called Lilom. This folklore originated from the old town of Sta. Castella, where she used to live.

As LJ struggles to understand her mother’s fear of the outside world, she unexpectedly lands a major break: a film project based on Lilom folklore. The film is helmed by a charming young director named Ben.
