GMA’s Loving Miss Bridgette Draws High Ratings

Since the launch of its pilot episode last September 13, GMA’s daytime miniseries, Loving Miss Bridgette consistently earned high ratings. According to Nielsen Philippines’ overnight data, the final episode, which aired on October 15, earned a rating of 8.7%, the highest for the series. The series made it to the top three most watched daytime programs during its run. It stars Beauty Gonzales opposite Kelvin Miranda (The Lost Recipe, A Place in Your Heart). Loving Miss Bridgette is the first story under GMA’s newest anthology, Stories from the Heart, which features unusual and unique love stories.

Bridgette is a university guidance counselor whose marriage was recently annulled. To regain her confidence, she decides to go clubbing where she meets Marcus, a man much younger than her. The two instantly connect and agree to meet again the next day. However, Bridgette backs out at the last minute from their date.

Later, as the new semester starts, Bridgette is surprised to meet Marcus again. He is a student in the same university where she works. Marcus tries to pursue Bridgette anew, but she rejects his advances. Things start to change when Bridgette is assigned as Marcus’ guidance counselor. During their sessions, they start a romantic relationship but Bridgette soon calls it off as she realizes the consequences.

After five years, Bridgette will cross paths again with Marcus who is now a doctor. Can they freely love each other this time around?
