14 May GMA’s The Eagle’s Quest Scores Impressive Ratings
GMA Network’s newest action-fantasy anthology, The Eagle’s Quest premiered on Saturday primetime last May 1, 2021. The pilot episode drew an impressive viewership of 16.3 percent based on Nielsen Phils. NUTAM People Ratings. It stars veteran actor, Ramon “Bong’ Revilla Jr. (Indio) as Major Gabriel Labrador, the recipient of the enchanted eagle’s magical powers.

The Eagles’s Quest tells the story of Gabriel, a forest ranger who protects the forest and wildlife of the idyllic town of San Jacinto. His honest and hard work incurs the ire of Alejandro, played by Roi Vinzon (Descendants of the Sun PH), a crime lord who pretends to be an upright and philanthropic businessman. Alejandro orders Gabriel and his family killed, but an enchanted eagle hears his cry for help and saves him. The eagle is aware of Gabriel’s sincere concern for the environment, and chooses him to be the rightful guardian of its magical powers and abilities. These powers allow Gabriel to possess powerful eyesight, sharp hearing, super strength, speed, fast healing, and the ability to turn into a metaphysical eagle.

Alejandro is also allied with a supernatural being, albeit an evil shadow whisperer named Serpenta, played by Michelle Dee (Love You Two), who gives Alejandro evil powers. Alejandro wants to have the eagle’s powers and use it to destroy mankind and nature. Gabriel must harness his powers to make good triumph over evil.
