Makiling tells the story of Amira, a beautiful maiden regarded as the town healer. Her home becomes a sanctuary for the community seeking medical guidance through herbal remedies.

To pay off her family’s debts, Amira was forced to go to Manila to work. However, she finds herself the target of the wealthy and powerful Terra siblings.

Her life completely changes when she and her boyfriend, Alex, stumble upon the mysterious flower, the Mutya, in the forests of Makiling. The Mutya has powerful healing properties, and Amira wants t0 create free medicine from it. But the Terras siblings seek to steal the Mutya for profit. They attempt to end Amira’s life by pushing her off the cliff, but Amira survives the ordeal, returning transformed and fueled by a determination for justice.
