Rodrigo is a hunchback who works as a gardener in Hacienda de Montenegro. Because of his condition, he is taunted and despised by Savana, the owner of the hacienda. Despite this, Rodrigo finds solace in his friendship with Savana’s son, Rafael.

Unknown to Rodrigo, his condition hides his true identity. He is a descendant of the Mulawin race – men and women with feathers and wings like an eagle’s. Rodrigo is really Almiro, the missing son of the late king and queen, and the rightful heir to the throne currently occupied by a de facto ruler, Daragit.

Daragit wants to achieve supremacy over all species. He forms a pact with the Ravena, a splinter group of the Mulawin race. Daragit wants to reconcile with the Ravena, to unite all pure-blooded Avians to wage war against humans and to banish all half-bloods.

To end Daragit’s evil plans, Anya, a half-blood Mulawin goes on a mission to find Almiro. Before she can find the rightful king, Daragit’s men capture her, leave her for dead, and take away her wings and her memories.

Rodrigo finds Anya and nurses her back to health. He feels a connection with her, since she seems to be another lonely and abandoned soul. Eventually, Rodrigo falls in love with Anya. But before he can profess his feelings, his friend Rafael asks his help to woo Anya.

With Anya’s memories gone, can Almiro discover his real identity as a Mulawin, and end a treacherous king’s reign over their kingdom?
