Mia and Nelson fall in love despite the differences in their personalities. Mia is headstrong and feisty, while Nelson is introverted and has a weak personality. They get married and are a happy couple until Mia suffers a miscarriage after an accident. Nelson blames himself for what happened and the overwhelming guilt triggers traumatic memories of his childhood. He loses control and runs away. Mia tries to search for Nelson but he is nowhere to be found.
A year later, Mia meets Tyler who looks exactly like Nelson. But unlike her husband, Tyler is an extrovert with a strong personality. Convinced that Tyler is just Nelson suffering from amnesia, Mia pursues him until she discovers that Tyler is actually Nelson’s other personality. Nelson suffers from DID or Dissociative Identity Disorder. As Mia comes to terms with Nelson’s condition, his colorful life as Tyler brings forth problems and complications that are too much for Mia to handle, since it includes Tyler’s lover, Beatrice.
