GMA Network premiered the much anticipated romantic comedy series The First Lady on Valentines’ Day, February 14, 2022. The series, a sequel to The First Nanny, which was the Philippine’s highest rated prime time drama for 2021. The First Lady is top-billed by Sanya Lopez (For Love or Money, Angela, Encantadia) and award-winning actor, Gabby Concepcion (Because of You, A Woman Scorned, Love You Two). Adding to the original cast is veteran actress Alice Dixon (Legal Wives, A Place in Your Heart).
After marrying President Glenn Acosta, former nanny, Melody, is now the nation’s First Lady. Things become complicated when Glenn, who is President by accession, announces his bid for the presidency in the upcoming elections.
Ingrid, a political strategist is hired by Glenn’s team to manage his campaign. Unknown to Melody, Ingrid is Glenn’s former girlfriend. Ingrid also has a secret that could threaten not just Glenn’s presidential bid, but also the First Family.
How will Melody protect her family, and help Glenn secure the presidency when she still has so much to learn about being a First Lady?
