Laura ties the knot with Mario unaware that he is married to Veron, an ambitious woman who left Mario to pursue a career abroad. When Veron returns, she reveals Mario’s secret to Laura and tries to win him back. Laura wants to break up with Mario, but he promises to make things right by having his marriage to Veron annulled. However, Mario is killed in an accident before the annulment is finalized and Laura is left without any legal right as his wife. Veron blames Laura for the tragedy and vows to make her life miserable.

Years later, Laura’s daughter with Mario, Clarisse lands a job as Veron’s assistant. Old grudges are revived when Veron finds out about Clarisse’s relationship to Laura. She plots her revenge to make the daughter pay for her mother’s sins. Veron keeps Clarisse busy with work while she seduces Clarisse’s husband, Jio. Veron and Jio fall in love and Veron becomes his mistress, a situation which Veron did not expect. How can Laura protect her daughter from Veron now that the tables are turned?
