Everyday at school seems like a battleground for Minerva Henerala. As a high school teacher, she has to put up with her spiteful co-teachers and misbehaving students. They make fun of her because of her meek and awkward demeanor, outdated fashion sense, and her fascination about “tamawos” – mythical creatures that are shape shifters who often take on human form.

One day, Minerva encounters a tamawo who attempts to abduct one of her students. She tries to save the child and in doing so, gets bitten by the tamawo. A tamawo’s bite should be fatal, but Minerva survives and lapses into a coma. When she wakes up after a few days, everything about her has changed. Her sense of sight, smell and hearing are sharper than normal. She feels a sudden rush of strength in her body. Even her personality has changed. The old Minerva is gone. She has become an assertive and confident teacher who does not tolerate unruly behavior.

The most important power Minerva acquired from the tamawo’s bite is her ability to see through their disguise. This is how she learns about their plan to take over their town. They will abduct high school students in order to suck out their youthful energies. The evil plan of the tamawos angers Minerva. In
her desire to protect her students, she must use her supernatural abilities to fight evil while concealing her true identity as a teacher.

With the unexpected changes in Minerva’s life, how will she juggle fighting the tamawos and managing the disruptive behavior of her students?
