Gordon and Julia have always protected each other through good and bad times ever since they were young. Despite being gay, Gordon loves orphaned Julia and vows to shelter her, while she has always accompanied him after being driven away by his family due to his gender preference.

Both broken hearted, the two poured their problems over a night of heavy drinking. One thing led to another and they ended up sleeping together without clearly remembering the events of the night before.

Months later, Julia discovers she is pregnant and runs to inform her former lover, Robert, thinking that he is the father. Gordon does not approve of the idea because he knows that Robert is an irresponsible man. Nevertheless, they eventually get married and give birth to Maricel.

Shortly after, Julia realizes that she is mistaken about Robert. When she is about to tell Gordon the truth, she meets an accident on her way and dies. Grieving, Gordon decides to raise Maricel in memory of his best friend.
As Maricel grows up, she finds out that her birth certificate states that Gordon is not her father. With hopes that she will eventually find Robert on her own, Maricel gets caught up in a syndicate notorious for child labour.

Will she ever find the truth about Gordon? How is she going to save herself as she saves the children kidnapped by the syndicate as well?
